Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 27, 2026
Anbiya ("we," "us," or "our") is committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our website and mobile application (collectively, the "Service").
1. Information We Collect
Creating an account is optional. You can browse the Service — and, in the mobile app, purchase a subscription — without an account. We collect the information below only when it applies to how you use the Service; if you never create an account, we do not collect account or study-note information.
Account information: When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and a hashed password. Paid subscribers on the web also provide billing information, which is processed by Stripe.
In-app purchases (mobile): Subscriptions bought in the mobile app are processed by the Apple App Store or Google Play and managed through RevenueCat. These purchases do not require an account; we receive a purchase/entitlement status and an anonymous purchase identifier, not your payment-card details. If you sign in, that identifier is linked to your account so the subscription can sync across your devices.
Usage data: We automatically collect information about how you interact with the Service, including pages visited, features used, search queries, and session duration. This data is collected in aggregate and is not linked to personally identifiable information.
Device information: We may collect device type, operating system, browser type, and IP address for analytics and security purposes.
User-generated content: Study notes and preferences you create within the Service are stored on our servers and associated with your account.
Payment information: Billing is processed by Stripe. We do not store your full credit card number; we receive only a tokenized reference from Stripe.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To provide, operate, and maintain the Service
- To authenticate your identity and protect your account
- To process payments and manage subscriptions
- To send transactional emails (account confirmation, password reset)
- To respond to support requests and customer inquiries
- To analyze usage patterns and improve the Service
- To detect and prevent fraud or abuse
- To comply with legal obligations
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for marketing purposes.
3. Sharing of Information
We share your information only in the following circumstances:
- Service providers: We share data with trusted vendors who help us operate the Service, including Supabase (database and authentication), Stripe (web payments), the Apple App Store and Google Play with RevenueCat (mobile in-app subscriptions), Vercel (hosting), and alquran.cloud (Qurʼan verse text). These providers are contractually obligated to keep your data confidential.
- Legal requirements: We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or governmental authority.
- Business transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred to the successor entity.
4. Data Retention
We retain your account information for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law or for legitimate business purposes (such as billing records).
Usage analytics data is retained in aggregate form indefinitely but is not linked to individual users after 12 months.
5. Cookies and Tracking
We use cookies and similar technologies to:
- Maintain your authenticated session
- Store user preferences (language, Qurʼan translation)
- Analyze usage patterns through anonymized analytics
You may disable cookies in your browser settings, but doing so may prevent certain features of the Service from functioning correctly.
6. Security
We implement industry-standard technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including TLS/SSL encryption in transit, hashed password storage, and role-based access controls in our database. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Children's Privacy
The Service is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have inadvertently collected such information, we will delete it promptly. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at support@anbiya.net.
8. Your Rights and Choices
Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal information:
- Access: Request a copy of the data we hold about you.
- Correction: Update inaccurate or incomplete information through your account settings.
- Deletion: Request deletion of your account and associated data.
- Portability: Request an export of your data in a machine-readable format.
- Opt-out: Unsubscribe from non-transactional emails at any time via the unsubscribe link in those emails.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at support@anbiya.net.
9. Third-Party Links
The Service may link to or load content from third-party services (such as Qurʼan reference and translation providers). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites, and we encourage you to review their privacy policies before providing any personal information.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. For material changes, we will provide additional notice (such as an email or an in-app notification). Your continued use of the Service after the effective date of any update constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
