A mighty messenger of Allah, born of the virgin Maryam by Allah's word, who spoke in the cradle and was given the Injīl (Gospel) and clear signs, strengthened by the Holy Spirit. In Islam he is a revered prophet — not divine and not the son of God — and one of the resolute messengers.
