About
A daughter of the Prophet ﷺ and Khadīja, who grew up in Makkah and migrated to Madīna after the Hijra. After her sister Ruqayya died, the Prophet ﷺ gave her in marriage to ʿUthmān, who thus became the husband of two of his daughters in succession; this is why ʿUthmān is called Dhū al-Nūrayn, 'the possessor of two lights'. She died in 9 AH and was buried in Madīna.
