The Negus, acting on the Prophet's ﷺ behalf, contracted her marriage to him before she returned, and she then came to Madīna (Abū Dāwūd). Her father, Abū Sufyān, led the opposition of Quraysh to the Prophet ﷺ until the conquest of Makkah.
