About
A daughter of the Prophet ﷺ and Khadīja. She married ʿUthmān, and the two were among the Muslims who migrated to Abyssinia to escape the persecution in Makkah, later settling in Madīna. There she fell ill as the army marched out to Badr; the Prophet ﷺ left ʿUthmān behind to nurse her, and counted him among the men of Badr with a share of its spoils (Bukhārī). She died while the battle was being fought.
