About
The righteous servant granted special knowledge from Allah whom Mūsā sought out to learn. Their journey — the ship, the boy, the wall — teaches that Allah's wisdom encompasses what people cannot see. The name al-Khiḍr comes from hadith and tradition.
The name
"The green one" — a name from hadith; the Qurʼan calls him "one of Our servants" (18:65).
