About
Daughter of al-Ḥārith, chief of Banū al-Muṣṭaliq, and a Mother of the Believers (33:6). Taken captive after the expedition against her people, she came to the Prophet ﷺ to arrange the price of her freedom, and he freed her and married her. When the Companions learned that her tribe had become the Prophet's ﷺ in-laws, they freed the captives they held; ʿĀʾisha said she knew no woman who was a greater blessing to her people (Abū Dāwūd).
